We are proud to announce that this event will also celebrate the birthday of Eat Static, one of the most influential pioneers of live techno and electronic performance. Formed in 1989, Eat Static are widely recognised as one of the UK’s first live techno acts, redefining how electronic dance music could be performed on stage.

Famous for their fully live shows, modular synthesis, and the legendary giant illuminated brain, Eat Static broke new ground at a time when most electronic performances were mimed PA sets. Their fearless approach earned them a devoted global following and saw them headline iconic festivals such as Glastonbury and Ozora, while releasing seminal works on Planet Dog, Interchill, and their own Mesmobeat label.

More than three decades on, Eat Static continue to evolve, pushing sonic boundaries with uncompromising live systems, zero presets, and a deep commitment to originality. Celebrating their birthday at this event is a tribute to a living legend whose influence still resonates across underground electronic culture.
